Love is a verb

Love is a verb.
It's not a feeling
It's not an adjective
It's not an utterance for appeasement.
Love is a commitment.
It's a binding agreement

It's the blood of the Savior on the cross
It's the labor of a mother for her child.
It's the sacrifice of a husband to his wife
It's the submission of a wife to her husband.
Love says I forgive you.
Even before you commit the sin
Even if I'm hurt by you
Love is not a feeling.
A feeling is fleeting.
An unsustainable emotion.
Love is an intentional act.
Not a random thought.
Love is 1 Corinthians 13
It's John 3:16
It's Mark 12:31
It is 1 John 4:18
Love is a burden
A beautiful one.
But a burden still.
It pushes you out of your comfort zone
It exposes your sins
It tells you of your inadequacies
It humbles you.
Love is not a buffet
You don't get to choose what comes on the plate.
So before you make the declaration
Before you "click" I agree
Be sure to read the terms and conditions.
You don't sign out of love.
It's lifetime contract.
